Facial Rejuvenation
We offer a range of facial rejuvenation options ranging from surgery to non-surgical options to address the aging face. With aging, parts of the face lose their definition and skin loses laxity. This will result in the visible signs of aging such as loss of plumpness and wrinkling of the skin. People may comment that you look tired, sad or older. The loss of plumpness can often be addressed by moving fat tissue from one area of your body to another (fat transfer), also known as facial sculpturing.
Wrinkles can be addressed non-surgically and surgically. The non-surgical options are often only useful for superfical wrinkles. Minimizing wrinkles or wrinkle prevention is achieved using muscle relaxing agents (botulinum toxin type A), and can give you a more younger, less tired look. An alternative to using chemical muscle relaxing agents is Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, which we also offer. Dermal fillers can help rejuvenate your face by adding volume in areas where you have lost it with age, resulting in a more vibrant look. Facelifts are a surgical way of addressing the of signs of aging. With aging of the face, the brow area and eyelid skin may also drop over the years. The brow area can be addressed with a brow lift and the eyelids can be corrected with a blepharoplasty. Often a combination of both is needed. Which treatment is best for you depends on your skin structure, how damaged your skin is and your age; Miss Liem will assess you and discuss the options with you. The non-surgical treatments will be performed outside the hospital in Miss Liem's Bearsden Clinic. For more information or to book a consultation, please contact us. copyright © 2013 Anita Liem |
