Breast reduction
A breast reduction is an operation where we remove the excess amount of breast tissue and at the same time bring the nipple to a better position as this has often dropped with the breast weight. Most of the time it is needed to address both breasts, unless dealing with asymmetrical breasts.
You will get a scar for it in return, which will be around your nipple and a vertical scar going down from your nipple. When possible, Miss Liem will use only these scars as most can be hidden under your breasts. Occasionally, she will need to address the reduction through a T-shaped scar; this is dependent on your breasts and will be discussed with you. There is s small chance of infection and bleeding. If you have very low nipples, there will also be a chance of losing the nipple and other techniques will then be discussed with you. As your breasts are never completely symmetrical, no complete symmetry can be guaranteed, nor a particular bra cup size. You are likely to stay in the hospital for 1 night. copyright © 2013 Anita Liem |
