Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
Facial acupuncture rejuvenation is a non-chemical anti-wrinkle cosmetic procedure and is a natural solution for the aging process. Acupuncture is over 2000 years old and has been in use as a form of Chinese Medicine for centuries.
It is the latest “new thing” and are thought to be favourites of Hollywood stars like Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltro and Jennifer Aniston.
Acupuncture focuses on flow of body energy “chi” and addresses energy blockages, improving circulation. When applied to the face, theoretically, it is thought to stimulate blood flow to the face and release endorphins, resulting in a glow and fresher look. Collagen and elastine formation (cell re-growth) whilst relaxing muscles are thought to result in a more smooth, taut complexion.
A side effect of the treatment is that one can feel very relaxed.
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is an alternative to injection of chemical muscle relaxants, and gives a more subtle result. However, often more than 1 treatment will be needed to see some effect. In general, treatment is weekly for 10 weeks (or twice a week for 5 weeks), following which the treatment period is extended to several months. Miss Liem is also a qualified acupuncturist and member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society and is happy to consult you on this.
